Loaves & Fish

Through our Loaves and Fish program we reach out to the homeless, low-income, under-served, lonely, and people with other needs, serving nutritious meals and a warm welcome.

After a summer hiatus, our weekly Loaves & Fish dinner service starts again on Saturday, November 13, 2021. We will be distributing To Go meals to our guests, which they can eat at home. Meal distribution will be at 5:00 PM each Saturday in Potter Hall. All are welcome. Masks are required. (For safety reasons we are not yet able to offer family-style dinners with guests gathering to eat the meal in the church hall as we did before the pandemic.)

If you would like to help, please donate. 100% of your donation will be used to purchase the ingredients we use to cook healthy dinners.

Parishioners of the Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church in Croton founded the program in 1993 in response to a growing need in the community. Run in partnership with Trinity Episcopal Church, it is called Loaves and Fish, inspired by Christ’s miraculous feeding of the multitudes. Loaves and Fish is supported by 11 volunteer cooking teams, the parishioners of Holy Name of Mary, and other friends of the program.

Fiona Matthew and Ken Gmoser coordinate the program.
