Ossining Food Pantry
The Ossining Food Pantry was established in 1988 and is located at our Highland Avenue campus. The purpose of the Pantry is to provide food for those who have an emergency need and to familiarize them with other community resources.
The Ossining Food Pantry is a project serving residents of Ossining and Briarcliff Manor and is open on Wednesdays from 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM and on Thursdays from 10:00 AM – 12:00 noon. Founded by four area Episcopal churches, it is now a community project encompassing many houses of worship with support from civic organizations and corporations. More than 150 families are served each week. Delivery to homebound seniors and the disabled started in October 1992. To ease the burden on busy working families, deliveries are also coordinated through local childcare and community agencies.
The Pantry also provides pre-packed bags of food which are distributed every Monday at the House of Refuge Apostolic Church (HORAC) at 81 Croton Avenue from 4:00-5:30 PM and also operates a mobile food pantry with Feeding Westchester.
